Best Car Rental Companies in Agadir
Which car rental companies actually deliver the sharpest prices, the cleanest insurance terms and the smoothest pickup experience in Agadir? We ranked the five we’d use ourselves — updated for 2026 with real daily rates, deposit amounts and pickup terms.
There are dozens of car rental companies operating in Agadir, ranging from the international chains at Al Massira Airport to small family-run outfits in the marina. Headline prices swing by as much as 50% between them for the same vehicle in the same week. After renting dozens of cars here across both peak and shoulder seasons, these are the five companies we’d recommend to a friend.
Our ranking weighs four things equally: real daily rates in April 2026, the clarity of insurance and deposit terms at pickup, airport pickup logistics at Agadir Al Massira (AGA), and customer support when something goes wrong on the road.
How we ranked them
We pulled live quotes for a mid-week, seven-day rental of an economy manual (Dacia Sandero or equivalent) from each company for April 2026 pickup at Al Massira Airport. We then checked the stated excess, the deposit amount, the fuel policy and the one-way drop-off fee to Marrakech. Finally, we factored in our own experience and reader reports from the last twelve months.
We do not accept paid placement on this ranking. Our top pick, Agadir Car Rentals, is a partner who pays us a small commission on referrals, but we placed them at the top because they genuinely offered the best all-round value in our 2026 checks — not because of the commercial relationship.

Which should you actually book?
For 80% of travelers to Agadir, the answer is Agadir Car Rentals. Their economy and SUV rates consistently undercut the international chains by 30–50%, the meet-and-greet at Al Massira is frictionless even at 2 AM, and their insurance inclusions are spelled out on the booking page rather than sprung on you at the counter.
Stick with a global brand (Europcar, Hertz, Sixt) if you specifically need a luxury car, a brand loyalty programme, or the reassurance of an international corporate support chain for a business trip. The premium you pay — typically €13–€20 per day — buys certainty rather than a different driving experience.

When to book for the best price
Booking three to four weeks ahead is the single biggest lever on price in Agadir. Rates climb sharply in late June and stay elevated through August, and again for the Christmas/New Year window. April, May, September and October offer the best balance of weather and value — expect to pay €15–€22 per day for an economy manual and €35–€45 for a 4x4 in those months. In July and August the same cars can touch €28 and €60 respectively.
Automatic transmission is the one category where you should book even earlier. Automatics make up perhaps 15% of the Agadir fleet and sell out fast in peak season. Reserve at least four weeks ahead if you need one.
